This master’s project investigates how PPO and SAC can control a residential battery using real 2019 household, solar, and electricity price data.
The agents must balance conflicting objectives: reducing electricity costs and increasing solar self-consumption while limiting battery degradation.
Their performance is compared with rule-based and perfect-foresight controllers.
