Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Visit to the University of Jordan Strengthens International Collaboration
As part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Program, Dr.-Ing. Loui Al Sardy, Head of the Network Security Research Group at the Chair of Computer Networks and Communication Systems (CS7), Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), visited the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Jordan (UJ).
During the visit from 16-23 July 2026, Dr. Al Sardy met with Professor Dr. Menwer Attarakih Al-Abbady, Dean of the School of Engineering, and Dr. Samah Ziyad Rahamneh, Chairman of the Department of Computer Engineering, to discuss opportunities for strengthening academic and research collaboration between FAU and UJ.
The program included meetings with faculty members, presentations of the research activities conducted at the Network Security Research Group (NSG) and CS7, and discussions on potential joint research projects, student exchange opportunities, and future collaboration in the fields of cybersecurity, network security, artificial intelligence, and critical infrastructure protection.


In addition, Dr. Al Sardy delivered guest lectures to students, introducing current research trends in cybersecurity and sharing practical insights into studying, working, and conducting research in Germany. He also participated in the 3rd Honorary Professors Forum at the University of Jordan, providing another valuable platform for academic exchange and networking.
The visit concluded with discussions involving the University’s International Affairs Unit, reinforcing the commitment of both institutions to expand international cooperation through education, research, and innovation.
The Erasmus+ Staff Mobility visit represents another important step in strengthening the long-standing partnership between FAU and the University of Jordan, paving the way for future joint initiatives, collaborative research projects, and increased mobility opportunities for students and researchers.
