CS7 Contribution: Research on Secure AI

As part of the conference, Dr. Loui Al Sardy (CS7) presented a research poster titled:

“Towards Regulatory Alignment for Secure AI: A Comparative Study of EU Cybersecurity Instruments.”

The work provides a comparative analysis of major EU cybersecurity frameworks, including the AI Act, NIS2 Directive, and Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), with a focus on how they address emerging AI-related security risks.

The study highlights current gaps in regulatory alignment and emphasizes the need for a more integrated approach to ensure secure and trustworthy AI systems. The poster session enabled valuable discussions with researchers from diverse fields, offering new perspectives on both technical and regulatory challenges in AI security.

Engagement in Conference Organization

In addition to the scientific contribution, Dr. Al Sardy was part of the Annual Conference Working Group, contributing to the planning and organization of the event. The success of the conference reflects the strong collaboration between organizers, volunteers, and partner institutions.

Outlook

The GPN Annual Conference marks an important step toward strengthening the postdoc community in Germany. The discussions and collaborations initiated during the event are expected to contribute to future initiatives supporting postdoctoral researchers in academia and beyond. We thank all organizers, speakers, and participants for making this event a great success and look forward to future editions of the GPN Annual Conference.
