Best Paper Award for Jonathan Heym at the Energy Informatics Academy
2026 in Beijing
Our researcher Jonathan Heym attended the Energy Informatics Academy Conference (EI.A 2026) in Beijing, China, from October 14 to 17, 2026. His paper, entitled The more Effective Energy Shift (mEfES) Algorithm, was honored with a prestigious Best Paper Award.
The international conference took place at the Sino-Danish College (SDC) of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, bringing together researchers from around the world to discuss recent developments and innovative approaches in energy informatics. Key topics included the digitalization of energy systems, smart grids, energy storage, and data-driven optimization methods.
Jonathan Heym presented his research paper, The more Effective Energy Shift (mEfES) Algorithm, in the session Grid Resilience, Energy Storage and Electric Mobility. The Best Paper Award recognizes the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of his contribution.
Prior to the conference, Jonathan Heym also participated in the Summer School in Energy Informatics 2026, held from October 12 to 13. Under the theme Climate-Constrained Transitions: From Climate Necessity to Institutional Feasibility, participants explored the challenges of the energy transition at the intersection of climate science, digital energy systems, and political and regulatory frameworks.
Beyond presenting his research, the conference and Summer School provided valuable opportunities for international scientific exchange, networking, and discussions with researchers in the field of energy informatics.
We warmly congratulate Jonathan Heym on this outstanding achievement!
