September 21-23, 2026, Linz, Austria
From September 21 to 23, young IT talents, researchers, and experts from academia and industry came together to discuss the intersection of digitalization, IT, and energy and make new contacts.
As part of this year’s DACH+ EI in Linz, our research associates Corinna Seiwerth and Mohamed Ibrahim participated with a workshop and a poster presentation.

The workshop, organized together with other partners from the NFDI4Energy consortium
„A Simple Way to Simulate Energy Systems“ provided participants with a practical insight into the Simulation-as-a-Service approach.
In hands-on sessions, participants were able to familiarize themselves with various co-simulation frameworks, including DaceDSX, mosaik, and VILLAS, and use a specific use case to examine the effects of different charging strategies for electric vehicles on the power grid.

Corinna Seiwerth und Mohamed Ibrahim presented the poster „Grid-Aware EV Charging Control: Balancing Network Constraints and Mobility Demand in a Coupled Simulation“.
The presentation generated a great deal of interest and led to numerous engaging conversations and discussions about the integration of mobility and energy system simulations, as well as grid-friendly charging of electric vehicles.
DACH+ EI provided a valuable opportunity to present current work in the field of co-simulation and the Simulation-as-a-Service approach, to receive feedback from the community, and to establish new connections with researchers in the field of energy informatics.
