from September 6 to 8, 2025, Dr.-Ing. Anna Baron and Dr.-Ing. Loui Al Sardy both from the Chair of Computer Science 7 (Computer Networks and Communication Systems) participated in an official FAU Erasmus+ Staff Visit to the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) in Madrid, Spain.
The visit, which took place as part of the EELISA European University Alliance with Erasmus+ funding, brought together representatives from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) and UPM to further strengthen cooperation in the areas of university management, research innovation, and strategic development.
Throughout the three-day program, participants engaged in productive discussions, knowledge exchange, and interactive workshops on topics such as:
- International project management and funding strategies
- Innovation and research collaboration between universities and industry
- Data-driven and digital tools supporting academic development
- Building stronger networks within the EELISA Alliance
The visit provided a valuable platform to exchange best practices, enhance cross-institutional cooperation, and identify new opportunities for joint research, particularly in areas of cybersecurity, digital transformation, and sustainable innovation.
