Loui Al Sardy speaks at IEEE RTSI 2025 on Trustworthy AI for Critical Infrastructure.

We are pleased to announce that Dr.-Ing. Loui Al Sardy was invited as a speaker at the IEEE Region 8 RTSI 2025 International Forum, held from August 24–26, 2025 in Tunis, Tunisia.

In his talk titled “Trustworthy AI for Critical Infrastructure: Opportunities, Risks, and Standards”, Dr. Al Sardy addressed the critical role of AI in critical infrastructure domains such as energy systems, industrial IoT, and public infrastructure. His presentation provided a structured perspective, beginning with an introduction to cybersecurity foundations, followed by a discussion of the transformative opportunities and inherent risks of AI integration in these environments.

A key focus was on international standards and governance frameworks, including the EU AI Act and NIST guidelines, emphasising the importance of ethical alignment, resilience, and regulatory compliance in the design of AI systems for critical infrastructure.

We thank the IEEE RTSI 2025 Organising Committee for the kind invitation and congratulate them on hosting a high-impact international conference.
