AI-assisted design of a software architecture for sector-coupled smart grids
The energy transition requires increasing integration of various energy sectors (e.g., electricity, heating, gas, mobility) to create a resilient and efficient energy system of the future. The goal of this bachelor’s thesis was to compare concepts from modern software development and existing energy system and co-simulation programs using artificial intelligence (AI), and to select an appropriate concept for analyzing sector-coupled smart grids. In addition, this architecture was implemented in Python for a sector-coupled smart grid.
